Perhaps no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest.”
– Lady Bird Johnson
Living in a walkable town is immensely satisfying. Without a car or even a bike, folks can get their everyday needs met. Each town has its gems – favorites – staples – that become an extension of one’s home. Perhaps a favorite breakfast place serving pumpkin spice pancakes. Or a home store that inspires imaginary redecorating (but very little real spending). Or a clothing store with a good sale rack. Or a park with a great slide. The crown jewel though of any little town is – arguably – the library. Proudly situated adjacent to Main Street, the library has evening hours and a wonderful selection of books. It feels good to have a home in a town that feels like home.
