Usually it is easier to see things as we get closer to them, but in some cases, distance offers perspective and allows us to see the whole picture. Perhaps that is the magic of the Impressionists. In their spirit, for those of you with children and those of you without, I highly recommend Linnea in Monet’s Garden. While both the book & movie are wonderful, I recommend the movie for a lovely little treat on a quiet afternoon (it’s on Netflix instant). I have watched it in the company of both grown-ups and young children. Everyone has been captivated by it – much to my surprise as it is so simply done. Please let me know if you decide to read or watch it. I am curious to know your thoughts!
