Hushed Wonder

There is something magical about the idea of waking up from a sad dream about melting snow only to discover a fresh blanket of snow outside.  The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats turned 50 last year but it still manages to captured the hushed wonder of falling snow.  NPR’s Fresh Air profiled the classic children’s book importance – both literary and social – in a story.  It, like the book itself, is worth a listen.  Erza Jack Keat’s foundation offers an interactive storybook which is a fun indoor extension for little ones.  The most fun?  A real day of snow play outside!  If only the weather would cooperate…
