5 Parenting Practices for a Peaceful Home, Week 4

My how time flies!  The final workshop of this series was last night!  We took a walk through 5 parenting practices which can help to set the stage for a peaceful home life.  I recently heard someone talk about the rich meaning of the hebrew word shalom – a word that sounds like it shares much with the arabic word salaam & is translated to peace in English.  This word, & therefore the grand purpose of our work over the past month, is more than just to craft a quiet & spa-like environment.  As I understand it, shalom does not mean the absence of conflict, but rather, the little word holds notions of completeness, safety, health, wellbeing, tranquility & friendship within its etymological walls.  While I may not land there, it seems a worthy aim.  Happy course charting & bon voyage!
